purpose of F11 funtion?

Hi I do not understand the function of "Enemy world disabled" or "Enemy world enabled" when the F11 key is pressed.

It en-/disables the "Ghost" function. It shows enemy targets after they are no longer lit. It is better than "red balls" because it shows you the tank so you can still target it, sometimes even the weak points.
