Noob here...just a quick question...when im using WP how do I enguage the auto aim? Is it the Venga Aim settings were I change the hot key? Does it work just like the regular in game one? Just hit hot key when on target and it stays on it? Havent had any luck getn it to work (or havent noticed it working)

Thanks in advance

Have you changed the game control for auto-aim? By default, it's set to the same button as the vanga aim. You can change it in game settings. Vanga aim works in the same way the game's auto-aim does: you point at a target, press the hotkey, and you have the enemy locked on to. However, unlike the game's auto-aim, vanga is able to shoot ahead, accounting for motion. It can also aim at weak spots and tracks on stationary tanks, but will aim to the center on moving tanks and if it can't find a spot that can be pierced with reasonable probability on sationary ones. This is engaged with the second hotkey you can set in mod settings. The slider is the refresh rate, the higher the rate, the faster the aim will react to enemy movement, but also the larger the load on your CPU. Python is not very efficient for this type of task, so the load is significant.

Ok so that was the problem i changed it. So what hotkeys have you found to work best? Can you clarify what you use the secondary hotkey for? Is it to switch to a target other than the middle of the tank? I thought this thing aimed at modules and weakspots not just the middle of the tank. Also - does the auto aim stay locked on dthe tank even if the tank goes out of sight? Can you hotkey advance to nect available target?

Sorry for all the questions but I have to ask someone in here...

Thanks

NP. This is what I have: auto-aim = rmb, targeting weak sports = mmb. What you find convenient may vary.

As far as the hotkeys and targeting go, I'll try to be as clear as I can. Vanga has three main modes and one auxiliary mode:

1) Aiming ahead of moving targets: this mode aims only at the geometrical center of the simplified tank model that the game client uses. Aiming at weak spots on moving tanks resulted in too many missed shots. The second hotkey makes no difference here. The aim switches in and out of this mode automatically as the enemy locked onto starts and stops moving.

2) Aiming at the center of stationary tank: this is identical to what the game auto-aim does, and this was the original way of aiming at stationary tanks.

3) Aiming at weak spots of stationary tanks. The secondary hotkey switches between this mode and mode 2. This mode is somewhat capricious: it relies on the armor data available to the game client. That data is not exactly accurate, and the server uses a much more detailed model that is not available to the client at all. This is part of WG's protection, and so far no good way of circumventing this limitation has been found (besides making a complete trial-based database for every machine, which is with a minimum of 50 shots per 'dot' is a pretty much impossible task without some software automating the process). What vanga does here is it tries to find a weak spot, but also takes probability of hitting that spot accurately into account. So theoretically, if you have an ideal internet connection with no packet loss (which, in case of who hosts WG's route and servers is impossible) and powerful machine, you could aim pretty accurately. On practice, many issues arise. When vanga cannot find a spot that can be hit and pierced with reasonable probability, it reverts to aiming at the center of the tank. There kis also a setting to ignore tracks, if it isn't ticked, vanga will aim the first shot at a spot that's likely to take the track off.

4) When you are locked onto a target and the target vanishes out of sight, vanga will by default keep the aim at the spot of last sighting and re-lock onto the target if it reappears. To cancel this following you simply hit the lock hotkey again.

Let me know if you have any further questions, I'll try to answer them. Keep in mind that I don't work for the guys who run this joint, so as far as feature requests and complaints go, I can't help much.

Try to redirect standard auto targetting to any other button for example num1, auto targetting Vanga to any mouse button on which you are comfortable!
