Bitdefender issues a virus warning and blocks updates to warpack

Gen:Variant.Barys.1703.

Please explain what this file is and deal with the issue.

smokescreen

ignore it and add warpack folder to "ignore list" (exceptions list)

iain1965

Warpack is in the ignore list, but still get the virus message every time warpack is launched and it tries to update.

Just deal with the issue that is at the developers end and remove the file identified as a virus.
If it's an integral part of the program then you need to rethink your file strategy.
I have paid for the service and it is not fit for purpose while the virus is still active.

Bear in mind this program originates from Russia, what other pup's or malware have yet to be discovered?

you may try to copy warpack.dll and settings.xml from warpack folder to worldoftanks folder. after that - run worldoftanks.exe. in that case - warpack will run every time when you start worldoftanks.exe. antivirus must should not show warning messages.
if you want to play worldoftanks without warpack - you must rename warpack.dll in worldoftanks folder to warpack.dll1

Ok got it and had doen some adjustments on my antivirus..now it works again. Tip..Take the antivirus program out in settings =(off).

iain1965

That doesn't work either.........!!!!

Why don't you just do what you've been asked to do and remove the problem file from the update process?

It's not rocket science ffs....!!!!!

Really getting pissed off now.

AND NO I WILL NOT TURN OFF MY ANTIVIRUS

Sherman

In the settings antivirus warpack.dll add to the exclusion list.

Nope.....still blocked by Bitdefender.

Next suggestion...................................!!!!!

Seriously, why don't you just remove the file identified as a virus, how difficult can it be?

iain1965

About fears that a virus, do your worst. We do not intend to steal someone's personal information and violate the laws. We all have families, children, and we have something to lose.
Though perhaps you fancy that we are always drunk, with balalaika in the hands, ushanka on their heads and an embrace with matreshka.
