No one can or will answer my question on this topic?

I used to get this error message every once in a while when I used the WP launcher.  It usually popped up while WOT was loading and before any of the splash screens came up.

Lately however, I keep getting this error several times in a row...sometimes as many as 7 times before WOT finally successfully loads.

Tonight, however, after trying at least 10 times, the game still won't load.

Yes, my firewall has been configured to let it through.

Yes, I have tried reinstalling warpack.

Yes, I have rebooted my computer.

Has anyone out there discovered a workaround to this problem?

Some people call WP a "cheat".  It's not.  It's a mod just like any other mod - only this one is infinitely more valuable than any of the other "skin" mods, or reticle mods, or XVM bullshit.

It doesn't let you see invisible or out of range enemies, it doesn't let you shoot through solids, nothing is hacked.  What it does give you is the ability to see the outline of the enemy tank when he is behind an object but he is still otherwise "visible" to you.  For example, when an enemy goes behind a solid, I would normally lose my lock on him immediately.  With WP, I will remain locked until he actually goes invisible.

Another thing - you get an extremely accurate "lead" reticle - in other words you hit moving enemies much more often.

The last thing is, you can aim automatically at the weakest points on your opponents tank.

But none of these things are hacks.

I think WOT banning WP is just wishful thinking on the part of those players who can afford goldies and purchased premium tanks and they can't stand getting their asses handed to them by WP users.

I always launch tghe game using the WP launcher.  I let all the start up screens run without clicking through them.  When the WOT authorization screen appears, I click on connect.  Works every time.

About 3 weeks now.  I've got several other posts regarding me experiences.  Hands down, best mod out there - and, at least for me, well worth the money.

Download and install the new warpack (8.8).

Confirmed today on US West Server it works perfectly with the new WOT.

Thanks, Sherman!

I know what you mean, Sherman.

In the state I live in, everyone is allowed to carry a weapon legally.  The law used to be that you could "open carry", which means as long as the weapon was visible, you could wear it (like in a holster on your belt).  Now the law allows all citizens to carry a concealed weapon, which means you may wear the weapon under your shirt or jacket, hidden from view.

My barber is from Russia.  He explained to me that I have no idea what it feels like to him to be able to legally carry a weapon.  He said it made him feel empowered and able to protect himself from not only bad people, but from the government as well.  This is why we have another saying: "An armed man is a citizen.  An unarmed man is a subject."

But I wanted to explain my original post was not a comment on people being able to carry guns - but rather on the fact that your War Pack mod helps level the playing field in the game.

I haven't been able to confirm this with Sherman, but I'd like to pass along another observation or tip to the rest of you.

When you launch WP, then click, "Start World of Tanks" it begins the loading process for WOT.  WP responds with "Please wait loading" as WOT shows the startup screens.  WP then says, "Waiting authorization" as WOT cycles through the Teen Warning screen and that fiery world of tanks screen before opening the authorization screen.

Before I purchased WP, I was too impatient to wait for all these screens to cycle through, so I would click my mouse to jump quickly through them and get to the authorization screen.

What I have found now that I use WP is that if I do this, quite often an error will occur and force WOT to shut down.  But I do not have this problem if I simply wait patiently for all the screens to timeout and cycle through on their own before coming to the authorizations screen.

So here is the tip:  Be patient!  Do not click through the opening screens.  Allow them to cycle through on their own until you get to the authorization screen.

If you have not done so already, close and relaunch.

Web site was down for a short bit - Sherman was on it immediately.

Shouldn't have any problems now.

Oh, and just in the interests of full disclosure, no, the Russian Boys have not offered me anything in the way of compensation for my endorsement.

And frankly, even if they did, I wouldn't accept it.  $12 doesn't mean crap to me - let's face it, I spend 3x that much every month on dog food.

I just don't want you guys believing that bullshit on the WOT forums about getting banned, or how these guys are going to scam you.

They are legit, and they've put together an outstanding product.

Remember the old saying, "God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal." - Think of the Russian Boys as the Soviet version of Samuel Colt!

OK everyone, I just wanted to follow up and let you know how things are going.

I've been using WP for almost a week.

To be honest, I never was (and never will be) one of those cutting edge players who can be the top scorer - game after game.  Sure, I've earned Top Gun a few times, but I attribute that more to luck than any inherent skill.

So I guess I'm saying I'm not the kind of player who draws a great deal of attention to themselves with ridiculous kill rates, which is probably why no one reports me, or complains, or accuses me of anything.

This leads me to another topic.  I view WP as just another (albeit - expensive) mod.  It doesn't improve your chances of hitting the enemy (but the auto-aim for moving targets is the bomb!), it doesn't allow you to shoot through walls (but you can see the silhouette and can tell if the enemy is aiming at you), and it doesn't increase the power of your gun.  It doesn't help you with tactical decisions (but it will warn you if the enemy has clued in on your mistake, letting you know where their gun is pointing and if it is pointing at you!), and it doesn't allow you to see farther (but it will give you a good idea where an invisible enemy is shooting from).

Some of you may have read in another thread that I allowed Sherman remote access to my computer.  Guess what?  My credit cards are not drained of money.  My WOT account is not hacked.  Nothing like any of that has happened.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you're having any doubts, put your fears to rest.  Sherman (not a very Russian sounding name, huh?) delivers on his product, and backs it up with full support.  I don't know anything about him personally (I picture him as a young Russian kid putting himself through college, but who knows?), aside from the fact he has been honest, has integrity, and delivers exactly what he claims.

So go ahead and buy his mod.

Or don't.  And I'll be seeing you on the battlefield....... ;)

UPDATE:

I just got done working with Sherman.  I contacted him on skype and we set up a time when he could remote into my computer and check all the settings.  He asked me to download the free Team Viewer software to allow him to do this.

After he logged in and checked a few settings, he discovered through trial and error that it was my antivirus software that was preventing WP from staying on when WOT launched.  I was using Bitdefender.

So just to let everyone know, Sherman is a real guy, and he's very helpful.  I think the whole "fix" took less than 30 minutes.  He's very professional and polite, and I have no fear or issues over the areas of my system he accessed.

If you are having any trouble whatsoever with this most excellent mod, do not hesitate to contact him.  We literally got the program running within like 12 hours of me posting the problem.

Thank you again, Sherman, for your patience and support.
